Accessibility

We want people with disabilities to be able to browse our cakes, choose cake options and contact Karina’s Cake House independently. Our accessibility objective is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Current status

Accessibility improvements are in progress. The current website has not completed a full independent accessibility assessment, and we are not claiming full WCAG conformance.

The current review covers the home page, navigation, cake listings, the custom cake request process, contact form and information pages. Updates include keyboard controls, visible focus, stronger contrast and form instructions and errors.

Known limitations

Cake photographs have text descriptions based on visual review. These descriptions still need confirmation by the bakery, especially where a photograph is small or its details are unclear. Screen-reader testing across desktop and mobile devices and verification of the published website are pending. External Instagram content is outside the current assessment.
